Classifications of TZM Rods
TZM alloy rods can be divided into the following types according to the processing degree:
Sintered TZM rod: sintered TZM rod is a bar without subsequent processing, and its surface is gray black without metallic luster.
Forging TZM rod: after forging TZM rod, there will be a layer of oxide on the surface, and the surface will show black non-metallic color.
Polishing TZM rod: TZM rod can be polished for one or more times according to the surface state and quality requirements. The surface of polished TZM rod is silver gray metallic luster.
Alkali washed TZM rod: the alkali washed TZM rod is obtained by alkali washing process. The surface of the alkali washed TZM rod presents gray metallic luster and is relatively smooth.
Applications of TZM:
TZM rod has good high temperature properties and mechanical properties, so TZM alloy is widely used in various high temperature fields. It is commonly used in the manufacture of electric vacuum devices and electric light source parts, and is suitable for the preparation of ion implantation parts.
As a high-temperature heating element and high-temperature structural parts, TZM alloy is often applied as the electrode of glass and refractory fiber industry. Working in 1300 ℃ glass melt, it has good performance and long service life. It is also often used as electrode in rare earth industry and is widely used. In addition, TZM rod can also be used in hot runner system to prepare various types of hot nozzles and hot runners.
